The National Vice President of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), Prince Segun Oduntan, has showered glowing tributes on the association’s former President, Prince Olayiwola Shittu, as he marks his 75th birthday today, October 15, describing him as a towering figure whose contributions have reshaped Nigeria’s maritime industry.
In a heartfelt congratulatory message, Oduntan lauded Shittu as “a quintessential icon and a rare model of excellence and integrity,” whose leadership and vision left an indelible imprint on the freight forwarding and customs brokerage profession.
“You are truly an iconic customs broker and a leader par excellence in the Nigerian maritime sector, whose enduring contributions have redefined the business of freight forwarding and customs brokerage,” Oduntan said.
He commended Shittu’s remarkable tenure as ANLCA President, noting that his commitment to raising standards of professionalism and efficiency laid a solid foundation for the association’s continued growth.
“Your exemplary and indelible leadership as former president of ANLCA established higher standards that we strive to maintain today,” Oduntan added.
Oduntan further praised Shittu’s passion for mentorship and human capital development, acknowledging his role in nurturing a new generation of leaders within the maritime industry.
He also highlighted Shittu’s intellectual influence in national maritime policy discourse, noting that his interventions have often shaped government decisions and strengthened industry reforms.
