It was a day of tears, songs of faith, and heartfelt tributes as the remains of late Mama Margaret Chidinma Onuzurike were laid to rest today in her hometown of Amaogwugwu Ohuhu, Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State.
Mama Onuzurike, the mother of Faithwin Nwaogu of the Public Relations Unit at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), was remembered as a devout Christian and a beacon of faith throughout her lifetime.

Speaking at the funeral service, the officiating minister, Pastor Isaac Okereke, described the late matriarch as “a true soldier of the Cross and a follower of the Lamb,” noting that she was baptized as far back as 1956 and remained unwavering in her faith ever since.
“Despite facing many trials and temptations, she held firmly to her belief and trust in God,” Pastor Okereke said. “Her life is a testimony to steadfastness in Christ, and I encourage everyone here today to emulate her good works.”

Emotions ran high as family members, friends, and community members gathered to pay their last respects.
In a heartfelt message on behalf of the family, Mr. Uchenna Onuzuruike expressed gratitude to God for the many years they shared with their mother and thanked well-wishers for their outpouring of love and support during their time of grief.
“Our mother will be greatly missed,” he said. “But we are comforted knowing she has gone to rest in the Lord.”
