Bricks Mursten Mattoni Ltd has announced plans to showcase Nigeria’s maritime security breakthroughs, trade facilitation milestones, and sector-wide reforms at the prestigious London International Shipping Week (LISW) 2025.
The global event, scheduled for September 15–19, 2025, is regarded as one of the world’s most influential gatherings for the shipping industry, drawing policymakers, regulators, shipowners, financiers, and maritime technology experts from over 70 countries.
According to the company, its participation will provide an opportunity to tell Nigeria’s story on the global stage, particularly progress made in addressing insecurity in the Gulf of Guinea and positioning the nation as a competitive maritime hub.
Chief Executive Officer of Bricks Mursten Mattoni, Mr. Emmanuel Maiguwa Gankino, will lead the delegation and is expected to engage participants on opportunities for international collaboration.
“This platform gives us an opportunity to tell Nigeria’s story, showcase the progress made in maritime safety and regulation, and deepen international partnerships that will enhance the sector’s competitiveness,” Maiguwa said.
Other Nigerian participants at LISW 2025 will include BA Ports Services Ltd, the Maritime Security Providers Association of Nigeria (MASPAN), and the Alumni of the Maritime Academy of Nigeria, Oron (AMANO).
With over 20,000 delegates expected this year, LISW offers Nigeria a unique opportunity to present empirical data on its improved maritime security, seek the removal of War Risk Insurance premiums imposed on vessels, and push for fairer treatment in global shipping.
Bricks Mursten Mattoni noted that its presence at the event underscores its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s maritime development, projecting positive narratives, and forging partnerships to boost competitiveness in the global market.
