The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has announced a major reshuffle of its management team in a move aimed at strengthening operational efficiency, enhancing inter-departmental synergy, and improving service delivery across the maritime sector.
In a statement issued by the Agency, the Director General, Dr. Dayo Mobereola, explained that the strategic redeployment of senior officials aligns with NIMASA’s vision of repositioning the maritime industry for greater productivity and global competitiveness.
Under the new management structure, Hajia Moji Jimoh has been appointed Director, Administration and Human Resources; Aishatu Jidda, Director, Planning, Research and Data Management Services; Barr. Heaky Dimowo, Director, Legal Services/Board Secretary; Isichei Osamgbi, Director, SERVICOM; and Mrs. Olubusola Obasanjo-Akande, Director, Western Zone.
Others include Engr. Christopher Amakulo, Director, Special Duties; Ms. Gloria Anyasodo, Director, Cabotage Services; Salihu Abdullahi Yelwa, Director, Shipping Development; Mrs. Nneka Obianyor, Director, Reforms Coordination and Blue Economy; Umar Ibrahim Sidi, Director, Maritime Labour Services; Dr. Oma Ofodile, Director, Marine Environment Management; Mr. Buba Umar, Director, Abuja Zonal Office; and Ahmed Shittien, Special Adviser Technical to the DG.
Dr. Mobereola charged the redeployed directors to bring their wealth of experience to bear on their new assignments, urging them to work collectively toward achieving the Agency’s strategic objectives.
He added that the redeployment exercise, which affected a total of 56 management staff, is part of deliberate efforts to reposition NIMASA for improved efficiency, strengthen internal collaboration, and drive sustainable maritime development in Nigeria.
