The Founder of Le Look House of Bags, Chief (Mrs.) Chinwe F. O. Ezenwa, has praised the Maritime Reporters Association of Nigeria (MARAN) for its contributions to the sustainable development of the country’s maritime sector.

Speaking in Lagos, Ezenwa, who previously served as a Director in the Federal Ministry of Transportation before retiring over a decade ago, lauded MARAN’s impact since its inception over 30 years ago. Her remarks came as MARAN presented her with a plaque in recognition of her generous support for the successful hosting of the 2024 edition of the MARAN Maritime Annual Lecture (MAMAL), held at Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.

The plaque was presented by award-winning journalist and publisher of Maritime Bits, Rev. John Iwori, on behalf of MARAN. Ezenwa, who also served as the Acting Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), commended the association for its consistent role in bringing maritime industry issues to public attention.

“I was not expecting this,” Ezenwa expressed. “Please help me thank your President and every member of MARAN. I receive this award wholeheartedly. Thank you very much for this kind gesture. I appreciate every one of you. Thank you, and God bless.”

Currently serving as the Managing Director and CEO of Ocean Serve and Logistics Limited, Ezenwa reiterated her commitment to contributing in her own way to the sustainable development of the maritime sector.

On behalf of MARAN, Iwori extended gratitude to Ezenwa for her warm reception and assured her that her message would be conveyed to MARAN President, Mr. Godfrey Bivbere, and the association’s members.
