According to him, between August 1 and 22, 2025, Apapa Command recorded the landmark collection of ₦161,258,483,474.63 via the new platform a clear indication of its growing efficiency.
“I am pleased with the maturity, patience, and support we have received from our stakeholders during this transition. Their confidence in the Nigeria Customs Service’s ability to resolve network hitches is not misplaced. The B’Odogwu platform is built to surpass previous ICT systems, and I assure you, their patience will not be in vain,” Olomu stated.
He emphasized that the NCS ICT team has been working round the clock to address downtime issues, with the Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, leading high-level stakeholder engagements, including discussions with the Nigerian Shippers’ Council to negotiate demurrage waivers for affected traders.
Olomu further revealed that the command has extended work schedules beyond normal hours, with officers now working weekends and late hours to clear backlogs and fast-track trade facilitation.
Describing Apapa Command as a strategic revenue base for Nigeria, he assured stakeholders that the NCS is committed to making B’Odogwu a reliable, homegrown ICT solution that will strengthen trade efficiency and boost national revenue.
