In a bold move to reposition Nigeria’s transport sector for sustainable growth, stakeholders, policymakers, and industry experts will gather on October 29, 2025, at the Providence Hotel, GRA, Ikeja, for the maiden Transport Infrastructure Summitorganized by JustAlive Communications Limited, publishers of JustNet News.
Themed Nigeria’s Transport Infrastructure: Innovation for a Sustainable Future,”*the summit aims to ignite strategic conversations around infrastructural development, innovation, and investment opportunities across Nigeria’s multi-modal transport system covering road, rail, aviation, maritime, and inland waterways.
According to Mrs. Pearl Ngwama, Managing Director of JustAlive Communications Limited, the summit represents a crucial step toward addressing long-standing infrastructural challenges and aligning Nigeria’s transport ecosystem with international standards.
“This summit will serve as a platform for experts, policymakers, and industry leaders to exchange ideas, share global best practices, and proffer workable solutions that can transform the nation’s transport landscape,”
Mrs. Ngwama stated.
She emphasized that the summit will adopt a holistic, cross-sectoral approach, uniting voices from public and private sectors to deliberate on issues such as infrastructure financing, policy reforms, technological innovation, and public-private partnerships.
“Transportation remains a catalyst for national development. Its efficiency directly impacts trade, mobility, and the overall productivity of the economy. At JustAlive, we see this summit as our contribution to driving policy direction and industry collaboration toward a more sustainable transport system,”
she added.
Nigeria’s transport infrastructure remains one of the weakest links in the country’s economic value chain. Despite being Africa’s largest economy, experts argue that poor road networks, inefficient ports, weak rail connectivity, and limited aviation infrastructure continue to impede economic growth and regional competitiveness.
The summit is expected to highlight these bottlenecks while providing a framework for innovative interventions that can enhance the sector’s contribution to Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Speakers and panelists will explore key topics such as:
• Financing sustainable transport infrastructure
• Leveraging technology and innovation in mobility systems
• Maritime safety and port modernization
• Rail and road connectivity for national integration
• The role of public-private partnerships in infrastructure delivery
With growing concerns about inadequate funding, poor maintenance culture, and fragmented policy implementation, the Transport Infrastructure Summit comes at a critical time. Stakeholders agree that Nigeria must adopt innovative strategies to close its infrastructure deficit and embrace sustainability-driven reforms.
The summit will also feature networking sessions, expert panels, and interactive dialogues aimed at fostering partnerships and actionable policy recommendations.
Mrs. Ngwama reaffirmed that JustAlive Communications is committed to using its media platforms to drive advocacy and accountability in infrastructure development
“We want to move beyond conversations  toward solutions that can be implemented. The transport sector holds immense potential to drive economic transformation if properly harnessed,” she concluded.
