Apapa Port Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has kicked off a new era under Comptroller Emmanuel Oshoba, who stormed into office with a record-smashing ₦20,156,077,098.56 revenue haul on his very first day.
The achievement, which surpasses the previous daily record of ₦18 billion, is being seen as a bold statement of Oshoba’s readiness to drive performance and push Nigeria’s busiest port to new heights.
“This record is not just a number, it is a signal of what lies ahead,” Oshoba said, praising his officers and port stakeholders for their compliance and collaboration. “We will sustain this momentum and focus on even bigger targets.”
He credited the success to the Unified Customs Management System, B’Odogwu, which he hailed as a vital tool for modernising customs processes and boosting Nigeria’s economic strength.
Oshoba urged officers and industry players to remain committed to excellence, stressing that collective effort will not only increase revenue but also enhance trade facilitation and economic growth.
